Frequently asked questions

Good questions for an unfinished world.

The short version: Organizsim is real, it is in active development, and it will arrive on Steam when its living world is ready to be shared.

What is Organizsim?

Organizsim is a living artificial-life simulation. A small ecosystem of predators, prey, food, inheritance, and change unfolds in a persistent world that you can observe, inspect, and sometimes directly inhabit.

Is it a game, a simulation, or a screensaver?

It is a game built around simulation. There is no conventional campaign to conquer, but it is not passive wallpaper either: you can study individual organisms, save worlds, reset a run, and directly steer a selected creature. The point is a different kind of engagement, closer to curiosity than optimisation.

What can I do in the current game?

You can observe a predator-and-prey ecology, pause and restart it, inspect visible organisms, save and load worlds, and use Drive to steer a selected living creature. The final release will be shaped by what makes those interactions feel meaningful in practice.

Will Organizsim be scientifically accurate?

No. It takes inspiration from ecological relationships, but it is an invented world with its own deliberately designed rules. The goal is believable consequence, not a research model.

When is the release date?

There is not one yet. The project is actively being developed and tested. A Steam page and release date will be announced when there is something solid to put in your hands.

Will there be a demo or playtest?

That is the plan, but it is not announced yet. The mailing list is the place to hear first about playtest invitations and public milestones.

What platforms will it support?

Windows is the current distribution focus. Other platforms are not promised yet.

Can I buy it now?

Not yet. Organizsim is coming soon to Steam. Joining the mailing list is the best way to hear when that changes.
