About Organizsim

A small world, taken seriously.

Organizsim is an artificial-life simulation about the pleasure of attention. It is being built as a place to observe, investigate, and occasionally inhabit, not a spreadsheet disguised as a game.

What it is

At its centre, Organizsim is a persistent predator-and-prey world. Organisms move through a watery environment, find food, evade danger, hunt, reproduce, age, and die. Their lives create population-level patterns that are often legible only after you have watched for a while.

The simulation advances in deliberate fixed steps so a world has a consistent internal rhythm. The game is not trying to impersonate real biology or forecast nature. It is an invented ecology with enough coherence to invite curiosity.

What you do

You can let the world breathe on its own, then select a creature to see how it is doing. Inspect makes individual lives more than moving pixels, showing a creature's present state, senses, habitat, movement, and inherited characteristics. You can also take control of a selected life and steer it through the world.

That is a deliberately different relationship from conquest or production. You are not promised an empire to maximise. You are invited to notice a fragile, changing system, and to decide when intervention is worth it.

What it is not

  • Not a scientific ecology model or a claim about real-world biology.
  • Not a competitive strategy game with a mandatory optimal path.
  • Not an idle app that asks you to return only to click a reward.
  • Not finished yet. Development is active, and the Steam release will come when the experience earns it.
